Isabelle Sanhou

Isabelle Sanhou is the heart and soul behind the African Immigrants Resources Center. With over 25 years of experience in the mental health and healthcare industries, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for community service. Isabelle holds a Bachelor's degree in Global International Studies from Western Michigan University and is an active member of the NAACP Kalamazoo Metropolitan Branch. Her personal experience as an immigrant fuels her drive to ensure that others have access to the resources and opportunities she was fortunate to receive during her own transition.

A devoted wife and mother of five daughters, Isabelle combines her professional expertise with a genuine love for people. Her leadership is characterized by integrity, compassion, and a commitment to equity. Whether advocating for better healthcare access or offering emotional support to new immigrants, Isabelle works tirelessly to ensure that every individual who walks through the center's doors feels welcomed and valued. Her life’s work is dedicated to breaking down barriers and fostering unity, and she strives to make a lasting impact on both her local community and beyond.
